Stories that bring us together.

  • Stories have the power to shape hearts and minds.

They build empathy, ignite imagination, and connect us to ourselves and to each other.

  • Every child deserves to be seen and celebrated in our diverse world.

Stories should reflect every child’s experience, open them to new worlds, and invite them to step through with curiosity and empathy.

  • Reading together builds connection and a lifelong love of books.

Sharing stories strengthens bonds and lays the foundation for early literacy and lifelong learning.

Hi, I’m Disha!

I’m an educator, children’s book author, and founder of Buddoo Books. I’ve spent my career championing young children and the grown-ups who love them. With a background in school leadership and early childhood education, I’ve seen how powerful stories can be. They spark joy. They offer comfort. They build confidence. And they create meaningful connections.

But not all books do this for every child. I started Buddoo Books because I believe every child deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated. Books can change the world.

My passion for stories is at the heart of everything we create. Each Buddoo book is thoughtfully designed to reflect the beautifully diverse world around us.

I’m so glad you’re here. I can’t wait for you to discover stories that will bring warmth and wonder to your family.

Opening doors and breaking barriers

We aim to provide fair opportunities and a supportive, collaborative space where authors and illustrators can share their stories freely and authentically.

Every child deserves to be seen

We believe every child deserves to see themselves in the stories they read. By prioritizing diversity in our characters and creators, we’re creating a more inclusive literary landscape.

Fascinated by art and storytelling since childhood, she fills her illustrations with whimsical colors, using light and shadow to bring her creations to life. When she’s not working, she can often be found lost in a book journeying to far-off worlds.
